"RED HOT RIGHT NOW - After the last cycle of touring it was pretty clear that the frenetic rock kings from last year's SxSW Music Festival was this four-piece out of Atlanta. 2011 saw the release of their debut album, Money, a launch pad for their future. We took an instant liking to their brand of southern "fun rock" and their contagious, die-hard party spirit - so much so we invited the band back to Boston where they were raised the roof at a free show we helped host.
NEW SONG - Well some time has passed and the band (Fontez, Grant, Kyle and Colin) have some new stuff on the way - the new song, Haters - formal release (Gospel of Rhythm - Feb 14) is meant to address the people who went out of their way to shit on Baby Baby's parade. We all know the type and I can totally stand behind this. We thank the band for the early leak." - Ryan's Smashing Life
"RSL blog has the world premier of the new Baby Baby song "Haters," off the forthcoming digital single of the same name. Baby Baby are an Atlanta based pop rock band that has kept with fun rock energy and catchy hooks seen on their previous album, Money. This track manages to keep that energy, while sporting their new "screw the haters" attitude.
The song isn't particularly original in the message or composition, but it's a ton of fun. The vocal delivery from front man Fontez Brooks helps elevate this song due to the sheer raw excitement in his voice. Listening to these guys will make you wish it was summer already." - The Needledrop
""Haters" is the new single from Carrollton, Ga. "fun rock" band Baby Baby, due out Feb. 14 (ironically) via the Gospel of Rhythm Recordings. For the cover, they reprinted part of my review of their debut CD, Money, which I gave 2 out of 5 Stars. I was feeling generous that day and gave them an extra point simply because "Fire" is a catchy little song - something they've struggled to reproduce since.
As a cultural meme, "hater" is one of those words that gets used all too often, and incorrectly at that. But I guess I'd expect to be called a "hater" by a band that's still going on and on about swag in 2012." - Chad Radford / Creative Loafing Atlanta
